Bugsier 3
Bugsier 3BUGSlER 3 was one of the first harbor tugs to be operated by the Bugsier-Reederei & Bergungs- Aktiengesellschaft of Hamburg.
BUGSIER 3 is a highly manoeuvrable ship, equipped with a powerful engine.
It has been designed for towing and warping other ships. Compared with today's more stream-lined tugboats, BUGSIER 3 looks rather conventional.
Its two big masts and the rather angular shape of the superstructure give the boat a personal and functional, yet particularly attractive touch of its own.
The model: of the harbor tug BUGSIER 3 has been scaled down to 1:33 from original drawings. Its design wilI meet the requirements of even the most demanding modeller. Difficult-to-fashion parts, such as hull, bulwark, funnel, Iife-boat, rudder shells etc.
are supplied in the kit as extruded parts. A lot of effort has been put into the careful reproduction of such items as capstan, salvage and warping winch, tow hook and other miscellaneous parts.
These injection moulded parts, contained in the set of fittings, order No. 348, simplify the assembly and cut building time drastically. The wood parts and stern parts fashioned from ABS plastic come preshaped. All this helps the modeller buiId a grand looking model with a minimum of skill.
Thanks to its correctly matched E-motor the models attains remarkable perfermance.Quickie kit Instructions in German, English, French and ltalian. Glasgow
GlasgowR/C side-wheel-paddle tug.
Semi-scale model design for single electric motor or steam-engine drive. 4 channels. Quickie kit with moulded hull.
Product information
This model of the paddler tug GLASGOW has been designed to 1:40 scale using English drawings.
The scarce information available on the history and career of this tug indicates that it was mainly operated in ports of Northern England and Scot-land.
The modeller has the option of powering his model with an electric motor or - just like the full-size vessel - with a steam engine. All difficult to fashion parts, such as hull, paddle wheel covers, life boat, skylights, companionways, pressure vents etc are moulded of ABS plastic.
The wood parts all come profusely pre-shaped. Building time is further shortened by the many injection-moulded ABS plastic parts of the set of fittings (No. 582), such as winch anchor, bollards, davits, engine room telegraph etc., as well as the brass rail stanchions.

Moonraker
MoonrakerMOONRAKER

R/C Mega-Yacht. True-scale model of the world's fastest mega-yacht. For 3 JET propulsion systems and electric power. Multi-channel R/C. Quick-build kit with moulded hull, deck and superstructure.
Product information
The Moonraker was completed in 1992 and its top speed of 124 km/h makes it the fastest mega-yacht in the world at present. The boat s owner, John Staluppi, had previously held the record with his yacht ]OCTOPUSSY (99 km/hr).
Staluppi entrusted the layout and design of the new vessel to Frank Mulder, whose Dutch studio ]Mulder Design specialises in high-quality motor yachts.
The yacht was built at the Ulstein Elkefjord Marine yard, which is part of the ]Norship consortium of Norwegian dockyards. The Moonraker cost more then 15 million DM to build, and was originally designed to be fitted with three MTU diesel engines: two 16-V 396 T8 94's, each rated at 3480 BHP outboard, in conjunction with two steer able KaMeWa jet units, and a central 1200 BHP 12-V 183 TE 92 combined with a booster jet.
However, tank testing showed that this combination would only produce a top speed of about 85 km/h. The centre diesel engine was then replaced by a Textron Lycoming TF-40 gas turbine, rated at 4600 BHP. Total engine power is thus 11,560 BHP, and the boat achieved a speed of 124 km/h during sea trials off Norway.

Azimut Atlantic Challenger
Azimut Atlantic ChallengerAtlantic Challenger

The Blue Riband trophy was inaugurated in 1933 by the Englishman Harold Holes for the fastest Atlantic crossing by a passenger ship.
In 1952 it was awarded to the ocean-going steamship United States, which traversed the Atlantic in 82 hours and 40 minutes, and that proved to be the last time it was awarded. To this day the trophy stands in Long Island Naval Museum. In 1986 the English aviation industrialist Richard Branson crossed the Atlantic in a new record time of 80 hours and 31 minutes in his 21.95 m long Virgin Atlantic Challenger. However, the Americans refused him the trophy, as the Virgin was not a passenger vessel, had been refueled en rout, and was not in regular line service.
In response Branson inaugurated a new cup: the Virgin Atlantic Trophy, which is awarded to the vessel which crosses the Atlantic the fastest by any means.

In 1992/1993 the DETLEF HEGEMANN ROLAND dockyard collaborated with the DEUTSCHE INDUSTRIE-WERKE GmbH to design and build two tugs for the Italian Shipping Company TITO NERI RIMORCHIATORI based at Livorno.

The ships are of identical design and were assigned the names TITO NERI and ALGERINA NERI. They currently rate amongst the most modern ocean-going and harbour assistance tugs in the world. Their towing equipment consists of a combination of winches on the after deck and foredeck. Each winch is driven by a hydraulic motor and has a tractive power of 15 t. The tugs are also equipped with a powerful fire-fighting system and a fire self-protection system.
The maneuverability required for these vessels intended tasks is provided by two Schottel drive systems and a bow thruster. Total engine power of 2x2000 BHP provides a forward thrust of 55t, and the maximum running speed is 12.5 kn. Parat
ParatThe PARAT
Harbour tug was built in 1983 by the Detlef Hegemann Roland dockyard, and delivered in the same year to the Hamburg-based Luetgens & Reimers shipping company.
The pair of VOITH-SCHNEIDER drive systems makes the tug extremely agile, as it is capable of manoeuvring in any direction. Installing an optional “tug” sound module allows the realistic reproduction of characteristic operating sounds such as diesel engines, foghorn, horn and winch noise. Additional working systems can also be installed, including rotating fire monitors, and extending the upper fire monitor to a height of 30 cm.
Parts which are difficult to make, such as the hull, deck, bulwark, superstructure and bridge, are supplied highly pre-fabricated.

Steam launch Otto Lauffer
Steam launch Otto LaufferThe steam launch OTTO LAUFFER was built at H.C. Stülcken & Son in Hamburg in 1928.
The launch is powered by a 2-cylinder compound steam engine rated at 100 BHP (75 kW). It is capable of a top speed of 9.5 kn, carries a 3-man crew and is licensed to carry 30 passengers.
The model of the launch is closely based on the full-size vessel, and is drawn to around 1:20 scale.
The steam launch was designed expressly for the new IST-L steam engine (Order No. 1940), with the extra fittings required for a steam boat, e.g. insulation from the steam engine's radiated heat. As an alternative it is possible to install an electric power system.
Since the model calls for a modicum of building skill, it is not suitable for the beginner to modelling. The steam engine version also requires a certain level of experience in operating steam engines. Auxiliary functions such as a working lighting system can be installed at the builder's discretion.

Wiesel
WieselGRAUPNER CLASSIC LINE
The motor torpedo boats of the ZOBEL class are slightly improved versions of the JAGUAR class vessels, and were launched in the year 1961.  After just 8 years the four torpedo tubes were replaced by two stern torpedo tubes, and at the same time an improved radar system was installed. These modifications brought the boats up to the standard required for altered service requirements.
In the early 1980´s the boats were de-commissioned and sold, some to the Turkish navy (among them the WIESEL), the remainder to other owners; the worn-out vessels ended their days as target ships.

WIESEL built to a scale of 1/40th based on original drawings and documents, with particular emphasis on good detailing of the superstructure.
Special 40 mm guns are available as optional accessories, and installing these weapons gives the boat an even more impressive appearance. All the parts which are difficult to make, including the hull, bridge, deck superstructure etc., are supplied in the kit as vacuum-moldings, and this makes construction of the model much easier.
Most of the wooden parts are supplied die-cut to save even more time.
A comprehensive fittings set is included as standard, and the many injection-moulded and brass parts in it help to produce a visually imposing model with relatively little manual effort

Tonnenleger Ranzow
Tonnenleger RanzowRanzow is a multi-purpose ship designed for operations in shallow, confined waters.
It can cope with many tasks including transport of personnel, equipment and materials, the maintenance of navigation buoys, ice-breaking missions and other tasks
The model of the RANZOW has been developed from documents supplied by the Fassmer dockyard, and is drawn up to a scale of 1:32. The boat is powered by two SPEED 500 motors, and steered using two Becker rudders and one bow thruster - just as on the full-size vessel. The deck-mounted crane is included in the kit, and can be made to work in scale fashion. Additional working systems can be installed at the builder´s discretion, including the derrick for lowering the ship´s boat, a radio control system in the ship´s boat itself, and systems for folding the mast and lowering the searchlight.
Most of the parts which are difficult to make, including the hull, deck, bulwark, superstructure and bridge, are supplied in pre-fabricated form, while many injection-moulded parts in the kit shorten the building time considerably.
However, the model is not intended for the beginner, and technical modelling experience and manual skill are required to assemble it and apply a scale colour finish.

WP U16 Mini U Boat
WP U16 Mini U BoatThe U-16 is based on a submarine operated by the German Federal Navy.
The sub features a real static diving system utilizing a vertical movement motor which controls a flood tank.
As the tank floods, the boat starts to sink under its own weight; it surfaces using the same method. The result is that the model can "hover" (remain stationary) in the water.
Excellent manoeuvrability is obtained by the stern thruster combined with the relatively short hull - the model is shorter than scale. The drive battery can be charged quickly and easily, as the switch socket doubles as the charge socket. The two red searchlights glow when the boat is running, making the model look truly realistic. As the submarine is so small, it can easily be operated in the bath or an aquarium.

WP B-24
WP B-24This boat was developed by Ocke Mannerfelt and is the result of protracted aerodynamic research aimed at achieving best possible performance.
It has been awarded two design prizes and is patented.
The newly designed double-step hull bottom features patented speed rails: specially designed stringers which distribute the air-enriched water under the bottom of the boat and thereby reduce the wetted area.
The boat planes over the water on a layer of "air lubrication" evenly distributed over the hull surface.
The boat is extremely slim in an effort to minimise air resistance. The lateral wings on the hull produce upthrust due to their profile and also due to ground effect.
The model is based on the original drawings and is moulded using all-GRP technology, with the exception of the driver's cabin.
The boat can be fitted with a scale power system utilising a Z-drive 600 and SPEED 700 TURBO motor, but can also be equipped with two electric motors and contra-rotating semi-cavitating surface-piercing propellers for higher speed, according to the builder´s individual preferences.
For even higher speeds it is also possible to fit BRUSHLESS 220/30-3 motors, although not with the Z-drive.
This option is for experienced modellers only, and no details are provided. Suitable for the Mono 1 and Mono 2 racing boat classes when fitted with the appropriate power system

Premium line Ready Buit Cruiser Prinz Eugen
Premium line Ready Buit Cruiser Prinz EugenThe German Navy's heavy cruiser Prinz Eugen was launched in 1936 and commissioned in 1940.
The ship became renowned from its role in the "Rheinübung" (Rhine Exercise) which it carried out jointly with the Bismarck.
This model expands the unique GRAUPNER PREMIUM line - a range of extremely high-quality ready-made model boats.
To achieve this elevated quality the boat's hull is moulded in strong GRP, while the superstructure consists of laser-cut wooden and ABS parts. The model also features a large number of small metal items, all ready-made and factory-installed. The railings, catapult, companionways, ventilation grilles etc. consist of etched brass sheet components, as this method produces finely detailed parts of a convincing scale appearance.
The hull, superstructure components, masts and fittings feature a sprayed finish using matt paints, and the many detail features and fittings give the model a particularly interesting appearance. The delicate rigging is also completely factory-assembled. Installation of the RC components is a fast, straightforward task thanks to the two generous deck openings.

Premium Line Cap San Diego
Premium Line Cap San DiegoARTR (Almost Ready To Run)
Scale model of the Cap San Diego museum ship, which is stationed in the port of Hamburg. It is based on original drawings provided by the Cap San Diego Operating Company mbH (www.capsandiego.de)
In 1962 the ships of the Cap San class ushered in the era of fast freighters with their large refrigerated holds and fittings for twelve passengers. With their slim hulls and pronounced stem and stern rakes these ships were more reminiscent of elegant motor-yachts than freighters, and that was why they also became known as the White Swans of the South Atlantic.
Eventually, after about 1980, the Container became the dominant means of goods transport, and the end of the mixed cargo freighter hove into sight; one result of this development was the sale of the Cap San Diego to Spain in 1981.
Rescued from the scrap yard's cutting torch, the Cap San Diego returned to Hamburg in late 1986, where she was completely restored to a seaworthy state. Since that time she has been stationed at the Überseebrücke in Hamburg. We strongly recommend a visit to this vessel.
A high-quality top-level model with superb detail fittings.
