DEANS MARINE
Another range of excellent
scale kits, all modelled on fairly recent full-size vessels. Glass fibre hulls , very good cast white metal fittings, comprehensive building instructions and plans.
These well-known kits, mostly of WW I and WW II warships and some freighters, build into good scale models for either static or R/C use. Deans are constantly improving their quality, and the older kits gradually being upgraded. Hulls are fibre glass with some surface detail, and the kits contain white metal and resin fittings with good instructions and plans. |

DUMAS
An American Company that produces an interesting range of kits of reasonable quality
model boats mostly "Plank on Frame". Some hulls are fibreglass, and these are noted F/G. Fittings are included as are plans and full English instructions.

AERONAUT
We are the UK importers of these kits, all of which have ABS hulls. The comprehensive fittings are in brass and plastic, and all the warships have pre made nickel stanchion sections, running gear, pre-grooved decking, and good English instructions.

These
model boat kits have moulded ABS hulls and superstructure, and glues and a modelling knife are included. These kits are ideal for the beginner except for the Thames barge, which does require some previous model making experience.

The three kit companies above have now merged and all products are now made in one factory. These kits are in my opinion just about the best static kits available. Frames and all wood parts are laser cut, excellent metal castings. The hulls are double planked walnut on lime, with good plan sets and English instructions.
