Graf Spee (Admiral Hipper Class)
Graf Spee (Admiral Hipper Class)After World War I, replacement capital ships for the German Navy were limited to 10,000 tons and 11 inch (280 mm) guns.
Before Admiral Graf Spee was given her official name, she was referred to as Panzerschiff C and Ersatz Braunschweig, as she would be replacing the old battleship Braunschweig in the fleet inventory.
She was considered the most advanced and improved of her class of ships. It cost 82 million Reichsmarks to build. Much weight was saved by using electric arc welding instead of rivets.

Technologically, Admiral Graf Spee was ahead of her time, especially in terms of her speed. At one point, the Allies were convinced that two such ships must exist so as to explain her near-simultaneous appearance in distant locations, unexplainable by conventional sea travel at the time.

Prince Eugen (Deutschland Class) heavy cruiser
Prince Eugen (Deutschland Class) heavy cruiser The Prinz Eugen (fourth warship to wear that name) was the third and last heavy cruiser commissioned by the Kriegsmarine.
She became famous on her first war mission in May 1941, during the Atlantic sortie with the Bismarck in which the Hood was sunk and the Prince of Wales damaged.
In February 1942, after a period spent in Brest, the Prinz Eugen together with the battleships Scharnhorst and Gneisenau, successfully passed through the English Channel on her way back to Germany. Shortly afterwards, while en route to Norway she was torpedoed and damaged by a British submarine off Trondheim.
The ship was not ready for service until the beginning of 1943, and then used for training purposes in the Baltic.
In 1944-1945, the Prinz Eugen was used for shore bombardment off the Baltic coast against the advancing Soviet troops to cover the evacuation of refugees. The ship surrendered to the British at Copenhagen in May 1945, and was handed over to the Americans.
In July 1946, she survived two nuclear tests in Bikini Atoll. Towed later to Kwajalein Atoll, the Prinz capsized on 22 December 1946.

Scharnhorst (Scharnhorn Class)
Scharnhorst (Scharnhorn Class)The ship was built at Wilhelmshaven, Germany, launched on October 3, 1936,
and commissioned on January 7, 1939.
After initial service, she was modified in mid-1939, with a new mainmast located further aft and her straight bow replaced by an "Atlantic bow" to improve her seaworthiness.
However, her relatively low freeboard ensured that she was always "wet" when at heavy seas. Her armour was equal to that of a battleship and if it hadn't been for her relatively small calibre guns she would have been classified as a battleship by the British.
The German navy always classified Scharnhorst and Gneisenau as Schlachtschiffe (battleships).
These two ships, considered handsome and fast, were invariably mentioned at the same time, and are fondly remembered as being "the ugly sisters" due to the fact they prowled together, and the havoc they wrought to British shipping.

The kit is a 1:200 scale radio control working model .The kit consists of a plura hull (plastic ) with wooden decks and superstructure and set of English instructions.
Also included in our price is the running gear (props & Shafts) and the fitting set the fittings tend to be made from high quality injection moulded plastic ,Brass and steel I.E things like main armament , ready made railing , Radar, anchors, away boats Ect.
